Built by Josef Vincenz Brejcha
(1) for himself, this villa singles out from its environment through its stately appearance. The
façade
to the street, not really symmetric, shows two gables with volutes
(2) flanking two bays preceded with a loggia adorned with sculptures and wrought iron and limited with a cornice wearing a frieze. The
side façade is connected to the former one by a turret
(3) topped with a polygonal bulb roof,
pastiche of that by Lutke & Backes at
1, place Broglie, achieved two years earlier.
